Almond green cotton crepe sleeveless dress "dominotier" print. We love the "dominotier" print, exclusive to Emile et ida, designed by our stylist Jessica. This purple fruit pattern was inspired by her encounter with a hat box that was covered with domino paper. Historically, the dominoté paper sheet was used for wall compositions: by assembling several patterns, the domino makers created unique and custom-made decorations. Dominoes were also used as a temporary cover for books awaiting binding. In the 18th century, domino makers engraved designs on wooden boards and printed them on sheets of rag paper using a manual wooden press.
We love all the details of this dress: the series of ribbed pleats along the placket, the flat lace collar, the small opening on top of the staggered armholes, the fabric covered buttons. It can be worn loose or adjusted by tightening the high waist tie.
This dress makes all girls elegant without ostentation, every day and on all occasions.
